A Mind-Body Approach to Lasting Change

My coaching is informed by the VITA™ methodology developed by Layla Martin, an integrative approach that thoughtfully blends evidence-informed coaching with mind-body practices inspired by both modern psychology and contemplative traditions.

Rather than focusing only on changing thoughts or behaviors, VITA recognizes that meaningful transformation often happens when we include the whole person—mind, body, emotions, relationships, and lived experience.

Every session is tailored to your unique needs and comfort level.

The Practices I May Draw From

Every session is tailored to your unique needs and comfort level.

Some practices may resonate more than others, and there's never any expectation to do anything that doesn't feel right for you. Together, we'll choose what best supports your intentions and the direction you'd like to move.

Our work may include:

Breathwork

Breath is often the doorway into deeper awareness.

Rather than simply helping you relax, intentional breathwork can gently quiet the thinking mind, increase connection with your body, and create space to notice emotions, beliefs, memories, or inner wisdom that may have been difficult to access before.

Meditation & Guided Awareness

Meditation isn't about emptying your mind.

It's about becoming present with your experience in a compassionate, non-judgmental way, allowing greater clarity and self-understanding to emerge.

Embodiment

Many of us have learned to live primarily in our heads.

Embodiment invites us to reconnect with the wisdom of the body by noticing sensations, emotions, impulses, and intuitive knowing that can help guide authentic choices.

Visualization

Gentle guided visualization can help reconnect you with your desires, explore possibilities, and access insights that are sometimes easier to experience than explain.

Sounding

The voice is another way the body naturally expresses emotion.

Simple sounding practices can support emotional expression, release tension, and help create a greater sense of connection within ourselves.

Movement

Gentle movement offers another pathway for exploring what the body may be holding, helping increase awareness, flexibility, emotional expression, and a sense of aliveness.

Energy Awareness

Sometimes we notice shifts that are difficult to explain with words alone.

Within a grounded coaching relationship, energy-awareness practices can invite deeper presence, connection, and openness while supporting the work we're already doing together.

Trauma-Informed Healing

Our protective patterns often develop for very good reasons.

Rather than pushing through them, we approach them with curiosity, compassion, and respect, allowing healing to unfold at a pace that feels supportive for your nervous system.

Playful Exploration

Play can gently reconnect us with qualities that are often overlooked in adulthood—curiosity, imagination, joy, and authenticity.

Through creative invitations and experiential exercises, we create space to explore ourselves from a different perspective, opening the door to greater confidence, connection, and self-trust.
